Charcoal Medallion Vintage Rug

A captivating vintage area rug from Anatolia features a striking central medallion in shades of charcoal and brown, framed by an ornate floral border. Its field displays a beautifully distressed patina, where the original gray tones have softened to a lighter ivory. The hand-knotted wool pile on a cotton foundation ensures durability and a soft underfoot feel. This unique piece would be a grounding element in a living room, dining room, or a spacious bedroom, adding warmth and history.

Caring for your rug

1Act quickly on spills. Blot immediately with a clean white cloth or paper towel. Press gently — don't rub.
2Use a natural rug shampoo. For light cleaning, use a mild, natural rug shampoo with cold water and as little water as possible.
3Avoid harsh chemicals. Chemical stain removers can damage natural wool and dyes. Choose gentle, natural cleaners.
4Professional cleaning. For stubborn stains or a deep clean, use a professional rug-cleaning service. Never machine-wash.
5Everyday care. Vacuum without the beater bar or use a soft brush for dust and pet hair. Rotate the rug every few months for even wear.
