Who we are

This website is run by RUGS KILIM LLC, 30 N Gould St #45815, Sheridan, WY 82801, USA. For anything about your data, write to [email protected].

What we collect

• When you order: your name, e-mail, phone number and shipping address, the rugs you bought and the amount paid.
• When you pay: your card or wallet details are entered on Stripe's secure page. We never see or store your full card number — we only receive the payment status and the last four digits.
• When you create an account: your name, e-mail, a securely hashed password, saved addresses and your wishlist.
• When you write to us by e-mail, WhatsApp or the contact form: your message and contact details.
• When you browse: your cart and wishlist are kept in your own browser. When you add a rug to your cart we record an anonymous random ID so we can show "in N other carts" — it isn't linked to your name, e-mail or IP address.

Why we use it

• To process your payment, prepare and ship your order, and send you order and tracking e-mails.
• To handle returns, refunds and questions about your order.
• To keep the records we're required to keep for accounting and tax.
• To protect the shop against fraud and abuse.

We only send marketing e-mails if you've chosen to receive them, and every one has an unsubscribe link.

Who we share it with

We share only what's needed, with companies that help us run the shop:

• Stripe — payments and fraud prevention.
• FedEx — your name, address, phone and e-mail to deliver your rug and contact you about delivery.
• Our partner workshop in Turkey — the order and shipping details needed to pack and ship your rug.
• Resend — sends our order and shipping e-mails.
• Cloudflare and our hosting provider — keep the website fast and secure.
• Google — website analytics (Google Analytics), as described under Cookies.

We don't sell or rent your personal data, and we don't share it for cross-context advertising.

Cookies

The shop needs a few cookies and browser storage to work: your cart, wishlist and, if you sign in, your session.

We also use Google Analytics to see, in aggregate, how visitors find and use the site (pages viewed, device, approximate country). If you're in the EU, the UK or Switzerland we only turn it on after you click "Accept" in the cookie notice, and you can change your mind any time by clearing this site's data in your browser. Elsewhere you can opt out with Google's browser add-on.

How long we keep it

Order and payment records are kept for as long as tax and accounting rules require (usually up to 7 years). Account data is kept until you delete your account. Messages are kept for as long as they're useful to help you.

Your rights

Wherever you live, you can ask us to:

• show you the personal data we hold about you,
• correct it,
• delete it (except what we must keep by law),
• stop sending you marketing e-mails.

If you live in the EU, the UK or California you have these rights by law (GDPR, UK GDPR, CCPA). Just e-mail [email protected] — we reply within 30 days. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.

International transfers

We're a US company and our rugs ship from Turkey, so your data may be processed in the United States, Turkey and the countries where our service providers operate. We only use providers that protect your data with appropriate safeguards.

Children

The shop isn't intended for children under 16 and we don't knowingly collect their data.

Changes

If we change this policy we'll update the date at the top of this page. Significant changes will also be shown on the site.
